Mrs Chesterfield Haunts Talbot: Haunted Weekend Away 8th to 10th Jan 2010
Mrs Grace Ann Chesterfield loved the hotel she built up with her first husband, George Spence, so when he passed away she made her second husband, William Chesterfield, promise it would remain in the family if anything ever happened to her. She passed away and sadly William revoked on his word. As a result , Grace is still very present in Chesterfield House today maintaining the high standards
she held as a publican and making contact with those who stay at her beautiful hotel. Full article here.
Williamstown Ghosts of the Old City Tour
Now this has been my best ghost tour to date. The guide, Pauline, was clear, concise and informative, with a little bit of fun thrown in, and she obviously enjoyed what she was doing. I had a lot of ghost contact, and a strong sense of being followed on a couple of occasions. We have orbs in some of our photos, which is always a treat for me. For more information about the night, because there is too much to write here, check out my blogs
Oldest House in Williamstown Haunted by Clara Pope
I have received many reports of sightings of a woman in white at 43 Aitken Street. She is small, frail and elderly and is seen hanging washing on the line (which no longer exists) in the garden and sitting by the fireplace inside. She keeps to herself and seems to be performing her daily routines. We believe her to be Clara Pope, who was one of the first people to reside in the house. Clara resided in the house from 1842 to 1867. Full article here.
